Peter Steele - Music GOD, you will be forever worshipped.

This morning, while studying for an exam, I walked into our home office, only to be greeted with horrific news. "Peter Steele Died..." I don't know how those words came out of my mother's mouth - but they did. And, they're true.
Quite honestly, I'm not sure what to put up here - so, for now, just things about him. I mean, wikipedia has already changed him to a "former member", and his website www.petersteele.com has been down all day.

Anyways, you can find details of the event here: www.thelazyidiot.com .

Here's a little info about him:
(from www.typeonegative.net)

A.K.A. Jolly Green Giant, Herman, Gorilla, Green Man, Lurch.

Born in the late Pleistocene age and thawed out in 1971, Peter was raised a devout catholic until he was barred from his own communion for gross flatulence. Peter discovered he could write songs upon his 1987 release from Kings County psychiatric ward after 3 weeks of observation for attempting to commit suicide with plastic eating utensils. In 1989 he formed Type O Negative. He had written the bands original demo for the sole reason of winning back an old girlfriend that had left him for a sanitation worker, but the tapes somehow got the band a record contract.

Shortly after his signing Peter was promptly arrested during his 1990 colostomy operation when the surgeon discovered 186 lbs of low grade undigested beef and half of a female femur bone in his large intestine.

After his release from prison he was forced to leave his beloved job for the NYC Parks Department to go on tour with TON. He can now sometimes be sighted raking leaves and removing litter from truck stops and hotel parking lots across the country.

Hobbies: fast food, redheads, and slim-fast.

Disapointment with a hint of Lemon.

So the Stanford thing is a no-go. 12k is a bit much on short notice when you have a father who's trying to run a business. But, he did help me find the school that I like. Hooray! And I have re-affirmed my love and admiration for Severus Snape. That man was an amazing character - makes me sad that HP is over - the next two movies are gonna be difficult.

And now, for something completely different:

we have a housekeeper. it's a bit strange, but not bad...just strange.
Housekeeping...with a hint of lemon.

Have a great day everyone!!!

WROCK - seriously.

So, this past weekend, I put The Triwizard Lp in my iTunes. Now, normally - I usually like importing to iTunes from MP3, but I had a gift card. Needless to say, I fell in love with the album. No wonder I've been hearing so much hype about this band! Anyone else have wizard rock (wrock) experiences? Any recommendations?
